Sinossi

Nel 2029, John Connor, capo della resistenza umana, conduce la guerra contro le macchine. All'offensiva di Los Angeles, i timori di John sul futuro sconosciuto cominciano a emergere quando l'uomo viene informato dalla sua unità, la Tech-Com, che Skynet attaccherà da due fronti, passato e futuro, cambiando la guerra per sempre. Per poter vincere la guerra contro Skynet, Connor manda il suo fido luogotenente Kyle Reese indietro nel tempo per salvare la vita di sua madre e garantire la propria esistenza. Tuttavia, Kyle scopre che il passato originale è cambiato. In questa linea temporale, un Terminator era stato inviato indietro nel tempo per uccidere Sarah Connor da bambina, e così la resistenza aveva inviato un proprio cyborg indietro nel tempo per proteggerla.
