Sinossi

Michael Oher, detto Big Mike per la sua imponente statura, è un adolescente della periferia di Memphis, abbandonato a se stesso da un padre sconosciuto e una madre tossicodipendente. Quando un suo amico lo introduce all'allenatore della Wingate Christian School come giovane promessa dello sport, questi fa di tutto perché Big Mike venga accettato dalla scuola a dispetto degli scarsi risultati ottenuti nei test attitudinali.
